Josh Cook
Lead Pastor
Josh is the lead and founding pastor of Dwell Church and gets to be a husband to Sarah and a father to Evie. He grew up in Atlanta and went to Mercer University for his Undergrad and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary for his Masters. He has been in Denver since October 2016. He loves practicing solitude, working with his hands, and coffee shops. Josh serves Dwell Church by listening to God, providing vision and teaching, and by caring for people.
Raeanna Russell
Worship arts/Communications director
Raeanna Russell is the Worship Leader and Communications Director at Dwell Church. She grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and moved to the Denver Metro Area about ten years ago. Raeanna has recently graduated from Colorado Christian University in May of 2021 with her Bachelor’s Degree in Music with an emphasis in Worship Arts. She enjoys hiking, traveling to cool places (like Spain!) singing and playing the piano, as well as reading. Raeanna serves Dwell by leading people into the presence of God and creating content that encourages people in their walk with Him.
Sarah Cook
Dwell Kids Director
Sarah is the Dwell Kids Director at Dwell Church, wife to Josh, mom to Evie, and foster mom to others. Originally from Atlanta, she graduated from Mercer University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education. She married Josh in 2011, and they moved to Denver in 2016 to plant Dwell. She is a special education teacher at a local elementary school. She loves hosting people in her home, baking, and dabbling in calligraphy. Sarah serves Dwell by leading our children's ministry, Dwell Kids.
Blair Matysiak
Connect Director
Blair Matysiak is the Connect Director, wife to Austin Matysiak, and dog mom to Willow, their Golden Doodle. She is originally from Kentucky, but primarily grew up in Georgia. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University, and is currently obtaining a Master’s of Theology with an emphasis in Women’s Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Her and her husband moved to Denver in August of 2023. Blair loves all things Colorado, skiing, hiking, camping, snow, and the city.
Anna Pesnell
Ministry Coordinator
Anna is the Ministry Coordinator at Dwell Church. She grew up in Alabama and moved to Denver in 2021 after graduating from Jacksonville State University with a degree in psychology. Anna likes doing volunteer and hospitality work, listening to podcasts, and crafting of all kinds. She serves Dwell through her involvement with Dwell Kids, GenSend, and other ministries, as well as taking photos for social media and the Dwell website.
Kirby Logan III
Pastoral Intern
Kirby is the Pastoral Intern at Dwell Church. He serves Dwell in a variety of ways and has a heart for community that lives for the good of the city. Kirby is originally from Tennessee and graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2023 with a Ministry Studies degree. He is currently pursuing an MDiv from William Tennent School of Theology. You can catch Kirby going for a run, reading a book, or drinking a cup of coffee!
